Summary
Participants will learn about using money responsibly while acknowledging inequalities for people of different gender, ethnicity, and geographic location, in order to improve civic engagement and community involvement.
Instructional Strategies
1. Give youth a small amount of money to manage.
2. Teach them about investing, saving, the value of conservation, wise spending, and encourage them to give to charity.
3. Use these activities to teach them about how the economy works and the importance of securing a vibrant economy.
4. Also teach them how money issues create inequalities for people of different gender, ethnicity, and geographic location, in order to improve civic engagement and community involvement.
Participant Tasks
