Students research conflicts in their classrooms, schools, and communities to figure out resources needed to get involved in positive and safe ways
Instructional Strategies
1) Ask students to conduct research on various conflicts by visiting peace education websites or multiple media sources. 2) After researching the dimensions and various perspectives of the conflict, in groups or as a class, brainstorm solutions.
3) Determine resources needed to get involved in positive and safe ways.
Participant Tasks
1) Find problems that need solving in the classroom, school, and community and research potential solutions .
2) Interview school and community experts.
3) Determine resources needed to get involved in positive and safe ways.
