Summary
Participants use drama and dance to build community and foster active learning while practicing theater skills. Very young children can work through problems by staging plays with stuffed animals.
Instructional Strategies
1. Assign various roles to participants in the ÃTheater Companyà including: Playwright, Director, Choreographer, and Actors and Actresses.
2. Use dramatic play with young children to work with conflicts by using stuffed animals and other character toys to practice calming oneself, using language to solve problems, and showing empathy.
