"Shuttle Diplomacy"

Summary
A strategy for people to use when they see potential for solutions but donÃt feel comfortable or safe bringing their ideas up publicly. The goal is to facilitate a form of shuttle diplomacy to encourage participants involved in a conflict to consider their own actions and possible alternative actions.
Instructional Strategies
1. When confronted with people involved in a conflict, ask one of the people, ÃHave you consideredÃ?Ã or ÃWhat if you tried...?Ã
2. Then, separately, ask the same questions of the other person.
3. Your role will be to facilitate a form of shuttle diplomacy.
Participant Tasks
