A way of seeing situations play out and encouraging individuals to think critically about how to intervene, and in the process build compassion for alternate perspectives. Here are some scenarios that can be role-played with youth, in order to encourage them to think (and act) outside of themselves. * You see a kid looking sad and alone at recess. * Your mom is working hard to get dinner on the table for the family. * Dad just came home from work and he had a rough day. * You meet a kid who is not getting Christmas presents because their family cannot afford them. * You notice a homeless person in a neighborhood you visit often. * Your friend is at your house and really wants to use your favorite toy. * You see a person in a wheelchair struggling to get through a door. * Your friend’s pet just died.
